Accessibility policy
This website is run by the City St George’s Marketing team. We want as many people as possible to be able to use The Edit. For example, you should be able to: change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings; zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen; navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech-recognition software; and listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the latest versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver). We’ve also made the website text as clear and straightforward as possible.
How accessible this website is
We’ve tested and confirmed that all colour contrasts meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards. However, the site has not yet been through a full accessibility audit. Because of this, the website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. If you’re not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Technical information about this website’s accessibility
City St George’s is committed to making its websites accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA due to the issues listed below.
Non-accessible content
Some embedded third-party content (such as videos, social media feeds or forms) may not fully support keyboard navigation or screen-reader labelling. Some images or decorative elements may not include full alternative text descriptions. A small number of older articles may contain hyperlinks that open in new tabs without warning.
Disproportionate burden
At present, no content has been formally assessed as a “disproportionate burden” to fix. This will be reviewed after a full accessibility audit.
Content not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
All PDFs and documents currently available on this site were created after September 2018, so this exemption does not apply.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We are committed to ongoing improvements and plan to carry out a full accessibility audit of The Edit, fix any identified issues in line with WCAG 2.2 AA standards, and review and update this accessibility statement at least once a year.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared and last reviewed on 5 November 2025. Colour contrast compliance was tested on the same date by the City St George’s Marketing team. A timeline for a full accessibility audit will be set in 2026.
